Magyar Gépmesék – Spotlight: From Image to 3D – AI Workflow in Houdini | Presentation by Imre Tőke

How can generative AI be effectively integrated into professional VFX and 3D pipelines? In this presentation, I showcase my journey from early AI experiments to an automated workflow capable of generating a fully textured 3D asset from a single 2D image and seamlessly bringing it into SideFX Houdini.

I will break down Microsoft's Trellis2 model, the ComfyUI-to-Houdini bridge, automated texturing routines, the new Apex Rigging framework, and how to rapidly convert these generated assets into Crowd Agents for massive simulations inside Solaris using Karma XPU.

At the end of the video, I also share a sneak peek of my custom, LLM-driven AI Orchestrator web application—built entirely using "vibe coding"—which automates storyboard breakdowns, character sheet generation, and localized asset pack pipelines.
